Store Associate (Napa)
Pietisserie is an Oakland-based deluxe pie maker with a national reputation for natural ingredients, creativity, quality, and fun. Pietisserie is expanding an exciting retail project, a Holiday Pie Shop, featuring some of the best pies in the U.S. according to Food Network and The New York Times.
The shop will be open during the fall Holidays, from November 5th through December 24th, in the First Street Napa plaza. We will be selling fifteen delicious pies in a lively and engaging retail environment like no other in the world of pie.
We are looking for customer-oriented, food enthusiasts with experience working in a retail setting and who share our love for delicious desserts. You will have strong communication skills, appreciate our brand, and be a solid team player.
Part-time schedules are preferred for this position.
Compensation: $21/hr
Location: First Street Napa, Napa, California
Duration: 8 weeks
Qualifications
Must have at least 2 years of experience in a retail or restaurant environment
Must be able to work 3-4 shifts during the week, including one weekend day
Must be able to work Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Eve
Strong interpersonal & communication skills
Comfortable using technology ( i.e. Slack, Gmail, Apple products, Square)
Able to stand for extended periods of time
A high school diploma or GED required
Responsibilities
Internalize product knowledge, taste pies!
Clearly, thoroughly and enthusiastically communicate product knowledge
Provide consistently high standards of customer service
Communicate sales incentives & company info without high-pressure tactics
Process transactions using Square register system
Inventory management
Help maintain the tidy and organized physical condition of the store
Communicate shop needs with manager and owners
Open and close the store following management instructions
Maintain store display/visual concept
Assist management with various projects
Answer incoming calls, providing information, and taking messages as necessary
