Pietisserie is an Oakland-based deluxe pie maker with a national reputation for natural ingredients, creativity, quality, and fun. Pietisserie is launching an exciting new retail project, a seasonal holiday pie shop, featuring some of the best pies in the U.S. according to The Food Network and Food & Wine magazine.
The store will be open during the fall Holidays from November 5th through December 24th in City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon. We will be selling fifteen delicious pies in a lively and engaging retail environment like no other in the world of pie.
We are looking for customer-oriented, food enthusiasts who work in the Retail/Restaurant industry with management experience, and who share our love for delicious desserts. You will have strong delegation skills, appreciate our brand, and be a solid team leader.
Full time shifts are required for this position.
Compensation:$24/hr
Location: City Center Bishop Ranch
Duration: 8 weeks
Qualifications
Qualified individuals must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a manager in a high quality retail establishment and have high attention to detail
Carry themselves professionally, be agile, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
Have strong time-management and delegation skills
Must be able to work weekends and holidays that include Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Eve
Possess strong interpersonal & communication skills
Comfortable using technology ( i.e. Slack, Gmail, Apple products, Square)
Able to stand for extended periods of time
A high school diploma or GED required
Responsibilities
Exercise strong leadership to develop the customer service skills of your team
Manage team to open and close the store according to guidelines
Manage inventory to assure consistent supply of pies and service items
Provide consistently high standards of customer service
Internalize product knowledge, taste pies!
Clearly, thoroughly and enthusiastically communicate product knowledge
Develop strong relationships with clientele to drive sales
Communicate sales incentives & company info without high-pressure tactics
Manage scheduling in alignment with store needs
Ensure the accuracy of customer orders
Address customer and employee concerns
Assemble and disassemble pie display according guidelines
Help maintain tidy and organized physical condition of the store
Communicate shop needs to business owners
Improve processes to promote growth of the company
Answer incoming calls, providing information, and taking messages as necessary
